I have an Audigy 2ZS soundcard installed. I installed the beta drivers from Creative and had no sound, because they're for Vista build 5231. I then tried to install the x64 drivers and they wouldn't install. I uninstalled the soundcard in device manager then installed the x64 drivers this time they installed without error and I now have sound. I wasted time because I forgot to uninstall the beta drivers first. I learned when testing x64 that before updating a beta driver uninstalling the previous driver was mandatory for stability, a lesson relearned.

Audigy 2ZS sound on Vista x64.

Andre: Thanks for the positive reply. Now back to trying to get my printer and Capture card working with Vista x64. That isn't a complaint, it's an accepted challenge like x64 was.
